For those who have problems with refill bottles that don't fit or dispenser don't work, I drilled a big hole in the bottom (top) of bottle and pourred in another dispenser and pourred it in my old (yess they change the size of the dispensers) bottle and the trick works Got this tip through Robert's post

Packaging is far too excessive and strong. Would be impossible for a disabled person to open this. I have mild arthritis and this pushed my patience. Product acted up after first battery change (which only lasted the duration of the first bottle of soap). I got it working again, but not confident this will last. Build quality is too low, price point too high and environmental waste too high, with batteries not lasting long enough.

In an effort to try something, and exact some green thinking, I drilled out the top of one of the refill bottles, cleared the plastic swarf from inside and added another quality brand name soap OF THE SAME VISCOSITY-- IMPORTANT. In my test, it works fine and is at 1/3 the price of Lysol brand and is less of a footprint for waste plastic.

I loved this system for about six months...I live alone so it wasn't used that much but today I went to use and it won't work. I thought it was the batteries but changed them and it still doesn't work. It is very annoying because I have 4 refills that I cannot use. Is there anything that you can do for me? I really like the system when it works.

I am not impressed with this product. It worked through the first & second bottles but now with a new refill it does not work at all. Changed the batteries, nothing. It also dispenses too much soap, when it did work. I now have a 2 refills that can't be used.

I purchased this as a 3-refill pack and was happy with it at first. The first refill worked great - expending just the right amount of soap, and always sensed my hand movement. The 2nd refill dispensed the soap 3 times. And then the 3rd...well...I put in a new container before heading to work, and came home to find the entire refill empty. While I like the idea of this dispenser, it has not worked well for me, and it was a waste of money.

I bought this for my classroom and love it. The problem came when I went to replace the soap refill and realize it doesn't fit? Why would you make a variety of refills, some with one hole and some with two... and how do you know which one fits your system as you can't see the holes until you open the package? So confusing! If you want people to buy your product and stick with it, you need to make it easier!

Voici le problème à chaque fois que l'on ferme la lumière de la salle de bain celui démarre et le savon est une pure perte parce après un certain le savon shèche et il faut nettoyer celui-ci. Vous avez lancer ce produit trop vite cart tout les autres produits sont super. Est t'il possible de recevoir un dédomagement ?

I have purchased your no-hands soap dispenser and just love it, although there are times that it is dispensing soap when no one is around. It doesn't do it too often but when it does, it dispenses soap about three times in a row leaving blobs of soap. Not sure what is causing this as I have no pets at all, and it has happened when I am in the other room with no one around. A little freaky but weird all the same.

Great idea poorly made, We had purchased two No Touch Hand Soap systems for our busy home. First one battery plate broke into pieces without reason. I went to the store bought a replacement. We are now withoug as two and three have now had the same problem. Battery plate seams to crack from pressure of battery springs. I will not be purachesing a fourth.

I'm a big fan of Lysol products and recently purchased the Lysol No Touch Hand Soap. I was disappointed to learn that I cannot control the amount dispensed each time I use it. It seems to dispense about 1 tablespoon of soap. That's way too much. I compare it to a plug-in air fragance device in which one can control the amount of frangrance emitting into a room. Great product. Bad design.

Hi, I bought the lysol aromatic soap dispenser a few months ago, it worked great until I had to replace the batteries. I replaced them, the new batteries were drained in 2 weeks. I put new batteries in again, the red light does not turn off and the unit no longer works. Do you have any suggestions that can try to make it work again.

We loved the Lysol hands free. It now dispenses 4 or 5 shots of soap now instead of 1. We have cleaned the product and changed the batteries as suggested on your web site, "Still No Worky". This is an awfully expensive item to be purchasing every-time the dispenser quits working given the price of refills. You guys 'missed the boat' on this one been. Terribly disappointed.

I bought 2 packages with 3 refills each from Costco. After 1 month, one of these continously dispenses soap so I replaced it with the other one that is still working from the washroom. In no time this one started dispensing 4 times of the soap. I replaced the batteries with new ones and the red light stayed blinking. I cleaned the sensor and problem was not resolved. Why so much problems when this product is not cheap?

I have 2 of these and was quite excited about them until they started dispensing soap with no one around. I have replaced the batteries in both and much to my dismay, they no longer want to work. I have bought endless amounts of batteries only to have that light flashing non stop. Are they not supposed to work once the original batteries need replacement?? I have two of these in my house, and after a few months ( but not at the same time) both of them started to disperce soap all over my sinks by themselves. It would always dispense the soap regularly until monday morning i woke up and the sensor was blinking red repeadidly. I received a free Lysol No Touch Hand Soap Dispenser as part of your Facebook campaign in June 2012. I loved it until it stopped working. One day last week the red light started to flash. Of course like others before me, I cleaned the sensor. The next time I used it, it pumped twice in a row and died. Hi bought the hand cleaning system and after the first use I refilled the container with soap. It worked only for a short time and then the red lights started flashing. we used a needle to clear the obstruction in the system it worked fine, On reading the initial instruction it stated that we could refill the container with any of the lysol companies soaps why is the system clogging???

I've bought 2 of the no touch hand systems and when i place my hand under it, it pumps out 3 time and the red light flashes. i've changed the batteries to new ones and it still does the same thing. I had no problem with my initial pump and purchased a second one. Since then, both have started to dispense soap on their own. I changed the batteries and it seemed to help but what a waste of soap! I too saw the commercial which said you would get a free dispenser if you signed up and liked their face book page but I can not find that link anywhere. I've called Lysol's 1-800 number and they didn't know there was a problem. It's a rebate form that is supposed to come up once you've liked the page.

I was watching a commercial this morning and it said that if we "liked" their facebook page, that there was an offer for a free No Touch Dispenser ("liked" their page there is nothing there) so I came to their website and after reading all of these negative reviews, I am not so sure I really want the aggravation of this product. From what I am reading, they had a really great product at the go, but then they found a cheaper way to manufacture the device therefore reducing it's quality.

I brought 2 no touch dispensers and they both stopped working for me 1 stopped 2 weeks after buying it and the 2 stopped 3 weeks after buying it and I brought them both at the same time. I could not exchange them because I no longer had the bill. I really liked them a lot. Too bad the refills are almost five dollars. myself and many of my friends have pryed off the top and refilled the cartridge with a less expensive soap product. i hope some one at lysol reads this and lowers the price of refills to approximately three dollar, it would be in line with other hand soap products.

Im only into the begining of my second bottle and the dispenser is already malfunctioning! I wave my hand and it just makes a weird clicking noise. I have also already purchased more refills but now i cannot use them. Would it be possible to get a replacement dispenser? I received one for Christmas, and thought it was wonderful. Shortly after Christmas, there always seemed to be a little puddle of soap on the bathroom counter and the red light always flashed. Changed batteries and it worked for a little while. Then it happened again!!! I would not recommend this product to anyone. The refills are to expensive for it to end up on the counter.......

We have four of these units and have been using them ever since they were introduced. They work very well and they are perfect for 'little' hands (our grandchildren) as they are fascinated by the device and want to wash their hands after using the bathroom. We have had no issues with them. I would definitely agree with leenel's comments on the motion sensor cleaning though - it needs to be done. We use alkaline batteries which seem to last the longest.

I was thinking of buying one, but with all the reviews....I don't think I will. They are expensive, as well as the refills, and if it dies and you change the batteries and it no longer works.....that's a waste of money. Maybe Lysol should look at fixing this problem, rather than sending people to "Contact". What good will that do? I've read more complaints than praise.

Same as most everyone else. Good concept, faulty product. Dispenses way too much soap which I guess is good if you're in the business of selling soap but gets an adverse reaction from customers. No way to set the dispenser to limit the amount of times it pumps. Won't buy any more soap. Will likely throw away the dispenser. Lesson learned.

We have used them extensively for about 3 months, then things started to go wrong. Red lights flashing, ejecting of soap for no reason, 3 different changes of batteries each, finally having to turn them off and resort to another means of dispensing soap. They did work great at first and I didn't have a problem refilling them either by other means. Too bad though and I see by the comments I am not alone. I have 1 at every sink in the house, love it! Recently, the 1 at my kitchen sink started running the contents into the sink without anyone being near it... changed the batteries, no change... Looks like they are not designed to last too long. We will buy another, but not if this continues!!!

My family absolutely loves this dispenser. The ease of the automatic dispensing makes a big difference during food preparation. However, lately it's been giving me some problems. It turns itself on when no one is near it and in some cases, we've had to turn it 'off' to save the soap. We changed the battery thinking that this may of been the problem but that didn't help. Love the product, we have one at every sink in our home. I agree with the other reviewers that the big issue is the inability to refill the soap container, which runs out quickly. A refillable dispenser would be great. We have actually figured out a way to do this but you can only refill twice before the cap refuses to stay on. Alternative if not refillable, then at least selling the soap containers in larger sizes and in bulk through Costco would be a good idea.

@ Lori, it would be nice if they made the soap dispenser without all the stickers on it and if they made it refillable! If you cannot find refills, then drill a hole right in the top center where the little indent is, and refill with a clear liquid hand soap (not a cream soap or it will clog). After placing the soap in the dispenser and waiting for the flashing light to go off, the unit started smoking and the plastic in the front starting melting; this could have been a serious fire hazard not to mention the significant residual odor from the melted plastic that lingered in the house for 2 hours. the company sent me ONE coupon to get a new product, and a stamp to send back the defective one. I have never seen a product that eats batteries as fast as this one. 4 DURACELL batteries only lasted a couple days. The replacement ones we put in lasted about 2 minutes before they died. Le coupon ete dans le livret SmartSource le 5 mars passe. Je pense que Lysol a fait une erreure avec la date. In any case, I like the system very much! I was concerned it would be too sensitive and go off every time I reached for the tap, but that's not the case. It is well programmed. I think it would be better for consumers in the long run if it took only 2 batteries, instead of 4. Thanks for the free offer, I appreciate it!

Love this item however, my son knocked it into the sink while washing his hands and water got into the battery area and it never worked again. Maybe you could find a way to better protect the area as it is made to be around kids and water and as I said, one dunking and it was no longer usable.

I have had this since it hit the store's a year ago,just love it. I have NEVER had any problems with it. Just replaced the batteries 2 weeks ago. There are 2 adults & 3 children ages 2 to 6 using it and never a mess. I bought one for my son's kindergarten class which is used by 20 little ones every day with out a problem. The soap is gentler on their little hands.

It also cost more money buying this because you have to replace the batteries every so often, then at times, yes the soap just decides to pour out on its own, another mess to clean up :(.... It just needs more work on it. So for now even if you wanted to give it for FREE i would pass on it for just a regular hand pump soap. I found a way though how to take the cover off carefully and refill it with cheaper hand soap that is still disinfecting for your family, or you can do what the other person did and drill a hole :)....but i don't like the idea of having a hole, it may let germs enter in the soap.

Yes we could keep it up away from younger kids but then what is the purpose of even having it if it has to be turned off all the the time or put away. Also the refills are pricey, i know that it is Lysol and is a healthy soap but for regular people out there who would like to try wont be able to buy that all the time.

At first i thought is was neat, but then with younger kids being around its a hassle, yes you can turn it off at the back but then the older ones will have to turn it back on to use it and then sometimes forget to turn it off making the younger ones keeping there hands underneath and letting soap pour out a lot.

I bought this just before Xmas 2010. First thing we noticed is it poured way too much soap out every time and quickly emptied the bottle. So I drilled a hole in the bottle and refilled it. Often the light would flash red, stop working. Sometimes it would eject soap for no reason and had to be turned off. February 21 it just stopped working and in the trash it went. Money badly spent, buyer beware. My opinion, junk.

I really liked the idea...but I agree the system doesnt work very well. Whenever anyone walks by the bathroom or as soon as you turn the light on it dispenses soap on the counter. I thought the batteries would needed replacing and now that I have replaced them the dispenser isnt working at all. If I still had the bill I would return it or at least replace it.

I really like the idea of this, but it really doesn't work all that well. The sensor is so sensitive, that everytime I turn on the light in the bathroom, it dispenses all over my countertop! I'm constantly wiping down my counters otherwise I end up with dried up globs of soap all over. Really not worth the money!

This is a wonderful product, we have one in each bathroom and one in the kitchen. What would make it better though is if the bottles in the dispensers were refillable and there were large refill bottles/pouches available. This would be more economical for households (4.99 for 1 cup of soap is really pricey) and environmentally friendly.
