Children are our future, and it is important that they learn how to live healthy, happy lives. Our programs are developed specifically for schools with materials to motivate students to strive for better health and improve school attendance.
Lysol believes in the importance of instilling good hygiene habits. That's why we have started the Lysol Germ Detectives initiative, an elementary school program to educate children on hand and surface hygiene.
The spread of infectious bacteria and germs are responsible for causing and spreading illnesses as basic as the common cold and as serious as SARS or the H1N1 flu virus. Proper hand washing is proven to be the most important tool to prevent the spread of infectious germs. It is also important to clean and disinfect commonly touched surfaces.
Kids don't only want to learn about health though; they want to have fun too! This is why the Lysol Germ Detectives program is filled with educational activities and fun games that will teach valuable lessons about personal and community health.
Participating in this program will help make classrooms healthier, students happier and hopefully result in fewer missed school days.
We created the Germ Detectives Program for elementary schools, JK to Grade Two, in conjunction with MIR Communications, publishers of kidsworld and Together Family magazines, and reviewed by the Canadian Institute of Child Health. Specifically designed to work with Canadian elementary school curricula, this exciting program includes five Surface Hygiene and five Hand Washing lessons that reinforce healthy habits at school and at home.
